5 Tips For Building Kick-ass Products 🖐️

Product Hacks — Edition 7We’re back! It’s your favorite product email of the week where we cheer on the product managers or entrepreneurs that are grinding daily to build great products that SELL! Let’s dive in!

I love feedback! I recently got some good feedback along the lines of “Ben your email is too f*cking long”. So we’re doing things a bit differently today. We’re going light! Like avocado mayo, Coke Zero, or any of those garbage alternatives light. Except they’re not going to suck. They’re going to taste just like the original but even better.

Here are 5 pro tips to not suck as at building products that SELL!

  1. The last 10% of your product development will take 90% of your time in many cases. Plan for this.
  2. Always involve your development and design team in the product roadmap creation. It will save you a sh*t ton of time!
  3. Ask yourself three questions before starting any product build: “What if we didn’t build this?” “Is this a problem we really need to solve right now?” “How do we actually know anyone really cares about this?”
  4. All your customer cares about is that your product solves their problem. Nothing else!
  5. Try selling your product before you build anything. This is how you build products that sell.
