Announcing: Outsell’s 2019 Emerging Company of the Year
On October 2, 2019, Outsell hosted its 4th annual Emerging Company Growth Tank, inviting five companies to present in front of an audience of industry-leading CEOs. The presentations were gripping, demonstrating significant advances that could positively affect billions around the globe. This year’s mix was thrilling including companies in the arenas of video, food, cannabis, blockchain, and space.
The theme for the Outsell Signature Event following the Growth Tank was “20/20 in 2020” and I cannot think of any better emerging case studies that are setting high 2020 visions than the five companies that joined us in DC. They truly set the paradigm as companies that deploy groundbreaking technology, disrupt existing business models, and solve an array of problems affecting businesses and people today. A huge congrats to the companies that joined us on stage.
Our audience came, they listened, and they voted for the 2019 Outsell Emerging Company of the Year. Forager, an emerging marketplace for locally sourced food, came in 2nd. And now, a special congrats to the 2019 Outsell Emerging Company of the Year: Boclips.
Boclips has been transforming the way video is used in the classroom by making it easier, smarter, and safer to find and use videos for educational purposes.
During his time working in media, Boclips CEO and founder David Bainbridge noticed a discrepancy between the slick videos he was putting on television and the dry, dated materials his children were bringing home from school every day. While books and blackboards were evolving into tablets, computers, and interactive whiteboards, the actual content didn’t seem to have changed much since his days in school.
David became determined to change that. He founded Boclips to remove barriers between the previously siloed industries of video production and education publishing. His mission from the start was to help education providers harness the power of video to help students learn by bringing together the world’s best educational videos on a single platform.
We are incredibly excited about the future of Boclips and congratulate them on their well-deserved win as the 2019 Outsell Emerging Company of the Year.
At Outsell, we like to say our events are like painting the Golden Gate bridge. Once you finish painting from one side to the other, you turn around and start all over again.
