Ben Sampson Headshot

Hey, I'm Ben!

I build, buy, and invest in businesses.

I've had 2 successful exits. Way more failures.

I write about building Freedom Companies to achieve what I call the three freedoms:

A life of financial freedom.
A life of time freedom.
A life of creative freedom.

I send one action packed email a week called a 1x1x1 where I write about businesses and people that I think are inspirational when it comes to creating freedom in their lives, or updates on the businesses we're building and buying.

This newsletter is the highlight of my week and I hope I can inspire and guide you to building your own freedom company.

Ben's 1x1x1 - March 8, 2024 🚀

For those of you that are new here, every week I send what I call a 1x1x1.

One learning or interesting item from my week.
One link to something I found interesting on the internet.
One image from my life.

Let's dive in 👇

Learning/reminder of the week

"I f*cking do this every time."

My self talk earlier this week when I realized (yet again) that I had shiny object syndrome.

I preach focusing on doing one thing insanely well when building a business. What's comical is that I can't even follow my own rule.

We're currently building Wealth Leads and that is exactly what I did. I tried to yet again be everything to everyone.

This results in spreading myself thin, getting stressed, churning clients, and ordering Taco Bell to drown my anxiety in five layer burritos.

This upcoming week, I'll be running tests to understand which specific areas of the market we should focus on.

Note to self: Say no!

Interesting item of the week

Veed.io - I'm pretty much YouTube famous with my whopping 24 subscribers.

This is my first time trying to consistently record videos and you know what is really hard? Looking at the camera!

My eyes are all over the place like a dog seeing a squirrel in the backyard.

Thankfully, two people recommended Veed.io. While the tool does a lot, it does one thing really well: gets your eyes looking at the camera.

How? AI baby! Check out the videos for yourself (it's embarrassing, I know).

Image from my life

I helped a buddy out this week building his sales outreach sequences and implementing all the tools for him. They are from Spain and paid me with homemade Paella. Pretty fair trade in my opinion!

See you all next week!
